LCD Screen Is Displaying Random Characters

The LCD screen is showing random characters and symbols on your PULSE 500 Series door operator, because the connection between the screen and the control board got corrupted during transmission. This can be caused by static or a loose connection. To fix this issue, try the following:
  • Run a full open and close cycle on the door; this will refresh the screen.
  • Hold stop for 10 seconds to enter STARTUP MENU, then press stop again to exit; this will reboot the operator.
  • Disconnect the operator from power for 10 seconds then plug it back in; this will fully reboot the operator.
If none of these work, try checking the ribbon cable that connects to the back of the screen and the control board. Make sure that the cable is not damaged and is seated correctly in its connector.
