"No Motion Detected" Message on LCD Panel

To address a "No Motion Detected" message on the LCD panel of your PULSE 500 Series door operator, follow these steps:

Balance the door:

  • Ensure the door is properly balanced by using BALANCE CHECK from the ADVANCED MENU, and adjust as necessary.

Check balance accuracy:

  • After the door balance check is complete, make sure the opening and closing numbers are close to each other.
Note: If the difference is higher than 10%, then the door is not balanced.

Jog Mode for obstruction detection:

  • If the door is balanced but the issue persists, then access the STARTUP MENU, and select Jog Mode, to check if there is any obstruction or door is jammed due to obstruction.

Power cycle and check Encoder Gain:

  • Power off the unit, then power it back on. Check the value of Encoder Gain on the LCD screen. It should be within the range of 10 – 50, with the recommended range being 20 – 40. If it is higher than that, it indicates that the magnet is too far from the encoder.

Adjust Open/Close slow speed settings:

  • If necessary, increase the Open/Close slow speed settings in the STARTUP MENU.

Increase Motion Detect Time:

  • If still no luck, you can raise the Motion Detect Time setting in the ADVANCED MENU, to enhance movement recognition.
