No Display on the LCD Panel

If the LCD panel is not displaying anything on your PULSE 500 Series door operator, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

For power issue:

  • Ensure the circuit breaker and disconnect switch are on, the unit is plugged in, and inspect the wiring connections. Also, examine the power fuse in the junction box and refer to the fuse specifications article for details.

For loose connections:

  • Inspect all connections in the Junction box (near the operator) and the control panel, and ensure that the ribbon cable to the LCD is securely connected at both ends.

For voltage drop:

  • The issue can occur if there is a voltage drop in wiring between the operator junction box and the control panel. To resolve, check the voltage between terminal +24 and COM, and if no power or voltage below 23V, check the wiring between the Junction box (near the operator) and the control panel.

For LCD panel assembly issue:

  • If 24Vdc is detected and the ribbon cable is connected but the display is still not working, please contact technical support for further assistance.

For LED lights and brightness or contrast adjustment:

  • Make sure the connections are proper.
  • Check if the LED lights on the control board are on.
  • If yes, then try to adjust the brightness or contrast of the LCD with the adjustable potentiometer on the backside of the screen.
  • If no, check 24V across V+ and COM on the control board.
  • If the voltages are good and also the LED lights on the control board are on, but there is still no power on the LCD, please contact technical support for further assistance.
