"Door is Open" LCD Message When the Door Is Not Fully Open

If your PULSE 500 Series door operator displays the message "Door is Open" on the LCD screen when the door isn’t fully open, try the following steps:
  • Turn off the operator and disconnect the battery backup to power off the encoder.
  • Reconnect the power and battery backup. The operator will then display the message "Door is Ready: Press Open to Start".
  • Press open button to reset the encoder. This should open the door to the hard stop bracket at the very top of the door.
  • If the encoder resets before reaching the hard stop bracket, the door could be jamming or unbalanced. Ensure that the door’s tracks are clear, and check that the door is balanced by running a BALANCE CHECK via the ADVANCED MENU.
