Door Only Moves a Few Inches After Receiving an Open/Close Command and Then Stops

If your door stops after moving just a few inches post an open/close command for your PULSE 500 Series door operator, try the following troubleshooting steps:

For missing jumper:

  • The issue may be caused by the jumper between the 'S' and '+24' terminals being removed and no push-button station has been wired in its place. To fix the issue, reinstall the jumper.

For incorrect push button station configuration:

  • The issue may also stem from a third-party push button station lacking a Normally Closed (NC) contact for the STOP button. Replace the push button station (or just the STOP button contact) with one that has an NC contact on the STOP button.

For incorrect wiring of push button station:

  • Incorrect wiring of the third-party push button station could also lead to this problem. Check and correct the wiring as needed to ensure proper operation.
