"Door is Stopped" Message on LCD Screen

If you see the "Door is Stopped" message on the LCD panel of your PULSE 500 Series door operator, try the following steps:

For door obstructions or jams:

  • Make sure the door latch is not engaged.
  • Look for any obstructions in the door's path or if the door is jammed in its tracks.
  • To resolve, remove the obstruction or free up the door, then turn off the AC power and cycle test the door under battery backup power. This is to ensure that the problem is not related to the main power supply and to check the door's operation on an alternative power source.

For pusher spring issues:

  • Pusher springs can prevent the door from reaching the Open limit.
  • To resolve, remove the pusher springs and install the upper limit brackets supplied with your door operator. As an alternative, you can reset the OPEN limit so that the pusher springs are not engaged.
