Closing Timer Not Working or Failing to Close the Door

If the closing timer isn't working correctly (i.e., being stuck, frozen, not counting down) or failing to close the door when set on your PULSE 500 Series door operator:
  • First check the reversing and activation devices.
Here's how to check if the reversing devices are working correctly.
  • If the devices are working properly, then go to the STARTUP MENU and adjust the door's open limit to be 2 - 4 inches lower than the hard-stop limit.
  • Another potential fix is to check that the door is not moving or sliding once it reaches its open limit.
If the door is sliding once it reaches the open limit, check the balance of the door and adjust the pusher springs.
Besides door balance, pusher springs end stops could also cause the door to shift out of place causing the closing timer to get stuck (this is more common to older PULSE models).
