PULSE 100 Series

Residential and Commercial Door Operator

PULSE 100 Series
The PULSE 100 Series of door operators bridge the gap between economy and performance. Pre-wired for the fastest possible installation, they are loaded with features and programmable options, reliable, and easy to operate and maintain. Smooth, powerful and quiet, the PULSE 100 series door openers are a budget conscious and efficient solution for balanced doors up to 1000 pounds.

Features

Fastest Installation. Mount, Plug and Go

Supplied pre-wired out of the box. These door operators are wired to their push-button station, and in turn to the provided polarized reflective photo-eye sensor. The units also have a 5 ft. North American 3 prong corded plug for electrical connection — no electrician is required — simply mount, plug and go. This increases an installer’s efficiency in the field, saving time and money.

Built-in 24V Battery Backup

In the event of an outage, the included batteries provide power for multiple door cycles. Built on a separate circuit, the PULSE battery backup will work even if a board has been damaged, setting it apart from all other systems that rely on the full functionality of their printed circuit board. A built-in trickle charger ensures that the batteries are always charged and ready.

Our built-in battery backup system eliminates the need for a chain-hoist, but one can still be ordered as an option if desired.

Built-in 24V Battery Backup

Adjustable Soft Start/Soft Stop

This feature offers smooth, controlled acceleration and deceleration of the door, and helps prolong the life of its mechanical parts. It also aids in the prevention of cable throw. The distance of both the acceleration and deceleration can be programmed to match the door requirements as needed.

Adjustable Soft Start/Soft Stop

Programmable Open & Close Speeds

The PULSE 100 door operators are built to achieve opening speeds as high as 24” per second and closing speeds of up to 16” per second, however, can be adjusted to best suit the application. Simple menu settings allow for selecting speeds from 1 (slowest) to 5 (fastest).

Programmable Open & Close Speeds

Intelligent Force Monitoring

Should the door hit an obstruction or become jammed, the system will sense the change in force and stop the open operation or reverse the close operation to avoid further damage. This integrated feature virtually eliminates the need for third-party safety edges.

Intelligent Force Monitoring

Door Balance Check

PULSE 100 operators feature a balance check menu option. Once selected, the door automatically moves through one complete cycle and reports on the LCD the difference in force required to open the door versus closing it. Use this data to verify proper door balance without needing to remove the operator, and take the guesswork out of door balancing. A properly balanced door will extend the life of the door springs and maximize battery backup performance.

Door Balance Check

Programmable Closing Timer

Set your door to automatically close after a selectable 1 - 99 seconds open delay or keep it off.

Programmable Closing Timer

Reliable & Precise Encoder

Mounted on the top of the gearbox, the encoder allows for easy, fool-proof limit setup, and easy left or ride side mounting of the operator. It also facilitates advanced functionality of the door including soft start/soft stop, dual open limits and motion monitoring - if the door stops moving during its cycle, the encoder senses the lack of motion and halts operation to avoid any added damage to the operator and/or door. The encoder will also monitor the position of the door when the operator is being used in battery backup mode - no need to reset the encoder when the power returns.

Chain-Hoist Option

A manual chain-hoist option is available for redundant emergency backup operation. Once engaged via a lever at floor level, all electrical operation (battery or power) is disabled for operator safety. Default factory installation of the chain-hoist is on the right-hand side of the operator, but it can be converted to the left-hand side on request.
